5 more YSU students chosen for Byblos Bank Armenia’s AMD 1 million scholarship program
The names of five more students from the Yerevan State University selected to receive nominal scholarships from Byblos Bank Armenia have been announced. Each recipient will be awarded 1 million drams.
The long-term scholarship program was launched in 2023 following the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the Bank and YSU.
In the academic year 2025-2026, the students were chosen from the 2nd, 3rd and 4th years of undergraduate studies in the Faculty of Economics and Management. The selection was based on academic performance, social and extracurricular activity, participation in volunteer initiatives, as well as involvement in intellectual and scientific events, and research activities.
According to Byblos Bank Armenia CEO Hayk Stepanyan, the program aims to motivate and inspire young people towards new achievements.
“This marks the third consecutive year that Byblos Bank Armenia has been awarding scholarships to students of Yerevan State University. By committing to their studies and working diligently, these young individuals are already investing in the future of their communities and respective fields. We hope that our ongoing partnership with YSU will continue to produce meaningful results,” said Hayk Stepanyan.
“It is important for Yerevan State University that our students not only achieve academic excellence and success, but also actively engage in social and volunteer initiatives. Through our partnership with Byblos Bank Armenia, we are creating opportunities for our talented youth to fully develop their potential and confidently build their future. These scholarships serve not only as encouragement for students, but also as a call to responsibly apply their knowledge and skills toward the development of our country. This model of university-business cooperation is a prime example of how we can work together to support the growth and success of young people,” said YSU Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan.
Since the launch of the program, 25 YSU students have received nominal scholarships and tuition reimbursement.
