Your Identity Journey: imID at DigiTec 2025
“Past, Present, and Future.” From October 10–12, imID, Armenia’s national Trust Service Provider, takes part in DigiTec 2025 — the country’s largest technology and innovation exhibition. At the initiative, imID presents a unique and interactive pavilion where visitors have the opportunity to explore the evolution of identity — from the paper-based past to today’s secure, fast, and reliable digital solutions — and experience the company’s services firsthand.
Inside the pavilion, visitors can activate their Mobile ID (already imID), issued by Armenia’s three telecommunications operators — Team Telecom Armenia, Ucom, and Viva — and experience firsthand how secure identification, authentication, and digital signing work in real life. They will then pass through three “time zones”, witnessing how imID eliminates the inefficiencies of the analog past and opens the way toward a future where every digital interaction is instant, verified, and trusted.

Every citizen should be able to sign, authenticate, and complete transactions effortlessly — within seconds and without barriers. Through imID, we are building a unified and trusted digital identity ecosystem that replaces paperwork, saves time, and ensures that every interaction — whether with a bank, telecom, or government institution — is fast, secure, and legally valid,” says Karen Mkoyan, CEO of imID.

imID was founded in 2024 through the union of ten leading banks and three telecommunications operators in Armenia. The company provides secure and reliable electronic identity solutions for individuals, businesses, and government institutions. It provides citizens with trusted and efficient digital identification tools, enabling them to interact with the digital world more safely, smoothly, and seamlessly.
In July 2025, the company acquired the Mobile ID system (now as imID), consolidating Armenia’s telecom-based identity infrastructure under one unified national platform and ensuring seamless availability of identity services across the country. Recently, imID has also introduced Mobile ID eSIM, which allows users to access identity services via eSIM-compatible devices — eliminating the need for physical SIM cards and ensuring wider, more convenient access to trusted digital tools.

Just days ago, on October 2, imID signed a strategic cooperation agreement with SK ID Solutions, Estonia’s leading Trust Service Provider. As a result of this partnership, the company will launch its next-generation imID Digital ID App in the first quarter of 2026. The new application is built upon imID’s modern technological infrastructure and SK ID Solutions’ 25 years of proven experience in the field of digital identity.
