The legality of restricting free economic activity will be disputed: the statement of Khachatryans’ attorney group
On May 5th, 2022, a lawsuit was filed in the Central District Court of California, USA, on the demand to confiscate the commercial real estate, belonging to Khachatryans, in the Holmby Hills district of Los Angeles, USA.
The Khachatryans’ attorney group named the process as another case of obstruction of free economic activity of the businessmen, which is carried out without there being any substantial evidence to support this. The group stated that there are all legal grounds to dispute the legality of the lawsuit in all the instances prescribed by law, towards which measures are already being taken.
It should be noted that Khachatryans have made several international deals in the field of real estate development, whereby it must be said that these have always complied with all legal requirements. Public clarifications have been provided about these illegal and directed processes many times, and they are disputed in the legal instances of Republic of Armenia for establishing justice.
The US advocacy group will release a statement on the appeal of the process. Khachatryans and the business units, established by them, ensure stable business continuity, not allowing any disruption of activity or defamation.
