Hooverphonic’s Yerevan debut, sponsored by AraratBank, for the Philharmonic Orchestra’s 100th Anniversary
On May 7, an extraordinary concert featuring the world-renowned Belgian group Hooverphonic and the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra took place at the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall under the sponsorship of AraratBank. The event was held in partnership with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium in Armenia as part of the Philharmonic Orchestra’s centennial celebration.
This exceptional cultural event was distinguished not only by its artistic significance but also by its social component. Through AraratBank’s initiative, a portion of the concert proceeds will support the improvement of educational facilities at the Yerevan Special Educational Complex for Children with Hearing Impairments.
“As the Belgian Ambassador, my foremost objective is naturally to foster the development of dynamic relations between our two peoples and countries. Today’s performance by Hooverphonic alongside this magnificent Philharmonic Orchestra represents a part of that mission, and this program has been made possible through collaboration with AraratBank,” stated Eric de Muynck, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Belgium to the Republic of Armenia.

The renowned Hooverphonic’s concert transformed into a genuine musical celebration, enveloping the audience with unforgettable emotions and creating an intimate connection between the performers and the audience. Each performance brought forth a storm of applause, and at the end of the concert, the entire audience rose to their feet, expressing their admiration through a long standing ovation. The event not only enriched Armenia’s cultural scene but also became a memorable experience for all music lovers, setting high standards for similar future initiatives.
