Nature in the Language of Music: IDBank as Main Partner of the “Symphonic Forest” Concert
The Armenian State Symphony Orchestra is celebrating its 20th anniversary concert season with a unique initiative – the “Symphonic Forest.” A new forest will be planted in Armenia, symbolizing the continuity of life and the timelessness of art. The tree planting will be carried out by the non-profit organization “My Forest Armenia.”
The project will launch on October 23 with a special concert by the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra. The main partner of the concert is IDBank. In addition, IDBank and Idram are supporting the reforestation initiative through their joint “The Power of One Dram” project, by naming “My Forest Armenia” as the beneficiary organization for the month of October.
“A good idea is only as good as the people and organizations who help turn it into reality,” says Sargis Balbabyan, Director of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra. “We are grateful to all individuals and organizations who believe in and support the idea of the ‘Symphonic Forest.’”
Lilit Martirosyan, Deputy Director of “My Forest Armenia,” highlights their excitement about this collaboration: “It’s wonderful that the Symphony Orchestra has chosen to mark its 20th anniversary in this way. A forest is a symbol of renewal and eternity. The 20,000 trees to be planted in Jrashen, Shirak region, will become a new forest—growing year by year and contributing to the wellbeing of Armenia’s natural environment.”
Tatevik Vardevanyan, Head of Communications and Social Programs at IDBank and Idram, added: “This initiative is a great opportunity to take another step toward a greener, cleaner, and better Armenia.
Naturally, we couldn’t miss the chance to support such a meaningful cultural event dedicated to the creation of the ‘Symphonic Forest.’ In addition to supporting the concert itself, we’ve also joined the project through our ‘Power of One Dram’ campaign, naming ‘My Forest Armenia’ as October’s beneficiary.”
To date, more than 30,000 trees have been planted in Armenia through the cooperation of “My Forest Armenia” and the “Power of One Dram” initiative. The new collaboration is expected to result in over 6,000 additional trees being planted.
