Byblos Bank Armenia joins Career City Fest 2K24 festival of top employers
Byblos Bank Armenia joined the Career City Fest 2K24 festival of the best employers, participating in two events of the gathering in Yerevan.
On April 28, Ani Karapetyan, the head of the Bank’s HR, was a speaker at a panel discussion titled “Women and Careers”. During the event, participants talked about the role of women in Armenian partnership relations, as well as challenges women face when building a career and the ways to overcome them.
Ani Karapetyan emphasized the importance of the balanced involvement of women and men in the workforce, which she said leads to finding constructive solutions and complementing each other. According to her, this principle lies at the heart of Byblos Bank Armenia’s activity, where the ratio of female and male employees has been almost equal for 5 years now.
Later in the day, young teammates from the Bank participated in CCF’s most colorful event – the EVP Show – which is a special platform to introduce companies’ corporate culture and their innovative and creative approaches.
The young people had seven minutes to tell about the Bank, to introduce it as the best employer and showcase the benefits that employees get when joining the Bank, including many opportunities for development and growth, a great package of benefits, team building and entertainment, a healthy work environment, reliability.
The atmosphere during the presentation was cheerful, with spectators playing an interactive game and winning prizes, including Clayton M. Christensen’s bestseller, “The Innovator’s Dilemma”, the Armenian translation and publication of which was sponsored by Byblos Bank Armenia. The main prize was a one-year subscription to Coursera Plus, which means the participant who was the fastest to answer the question of the quiz correctly now has the chance to access Coursera and enroll in any of the 7,000+ courses for free over the course of one year, with no limit on the number of courses they can take.
Byblos Bank Armenia, both as an employer and as a company operating in Armenia, strongly highlights the importance of continuous education. Each employee of the Bank gets their training plan to help organize and finance their educational needs, participation in various programs and workshops. Education also stands as a pivotal focus area within the Bank’s corporate social responsibility strategy.
